Installing i1Profiler Software on Windows
Before you install the i1Profiler Software suite, please review the required system environment. To install the i1Profiler Software Suite from a DVD or from a Download, follow the steps below.
Note: The software installation procedure on Windows XP, Vista and 7 is nearly the same. However, before installing on Windows Vista or 7 systems, we recommend the following:
- Disable Windows Defender in your system's control panel 'Security' or 'Windows Defender'.
- Disable User Account Control (UAC) in Vista's control panel 'User Accounts', respectively...
- Set User Account Control (UAC) to lowest level in Windows 7 control panel 'User Accounts'.
Installing from a DVD
- Disconnect measurement devices and dongles.
- Insert the i1Profiler software DVD into the DVD drive, the setup program will start automatically.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Select the language of the setup program (Note: the i1Profiler software suite will be installed in the language, to which the Windows OS is set. If this language is not supported by i1Profiler, the software will be installed in English)
- Read and accept the Software License Agreement.
- Read the Release Notes carefully (sytem requirements, known issues).
- Select the destination for the software installation
- Select, what additional software you want to install (ColorChecker Passport, PANTONE Color Manager).
- Select the Start Menu Folder, in which the program should appear.
- Start the installation (depending on selected software components to be installed, sub-installers for ColorChecker Passport and PANTONE Color Manager will automatically be proceed)
- When installation has completed, restart your computer
- Connect your measurement instruments and/or dongle
Installing from a Download
- Latest i1Profiler software suite can be downloaded here
- Disconnect measurement devices and dongles.
- Double-click on the downloaded i1 Applications Setup.exe file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Select the language of the setup program (Note: the i1Profiler software suite will be installed in the language, to which the Windows OS is set. If this language is not supported by i1Profiler, the software will be installed in English)
- Read and accept the Software License Agreement.
- Read the Release Notes carefully (sytem requirements, known issues).
- Select the destination for the software installation
- Select, what additional software you want to install (ColorChecker Passport, PANTONE Color Manager).
