Connecting a 500 Series to Toolcrib
What settings are required in the configuration when connecting a 500 Series to Toolcrib?To connect a 500 in Toolcrib you will need to setup the software with the following:
- After lauchingToolCrib, you are presented with the list of instruments that you can connect to, Select the 500.
- Then Instrument Connection Parameters will open.
- Protocol should be set to Auto.
- Serial Port should be set to Auto.
- BaudRate should be set to 9600.
- Then select Connect.
If connection fails make sure that the 500 properly connected to the computer.
The valid Communication Ports for connection are 1-4, if the unit is not connected to one of these Communication Ports it will not Connect.
