Shut Down During Splash Screen - i1Profiler

i1Profiler shuts down during the splash screen when "Loading user interface" is displayed in the lower left corner of the splash screen.

If the i1Profiler application opens to the initial splash screen with “Loading user interface…” in the lower left corner and then shuts down…the installed printers could be the issue.  When the i1Profiler application opens, it gathers information on all installed printers.  If the default printer “confuses” the application, the program will close while “Loading user interface…”.  It would be wise to first try updating the default printer’s driver to the most current.  If that fails to provide a solution, the user will need to select a different default printer when using i1Profiler.  Once the application is open, any printer should be selectable to profile (including the printer that cannot be the default).

Please try the following to resolve this issue:

  1. Uninstall any printers that are no longer used.
  2. For the remaining printers, make sure that the most current printer drivers are installed for the operating system.
  3. Power up all printers and reboot the computer before opening i1Profiler 1.2.0 (or higher).
  4. If step #3 doesn’t resolve this, try turning off all printers, reboot the computer, and try opening i1Profiler 1.2.0 (or higher).
